Jo currently studies Environmental Policy at Wageningen University and, over the past years, has been engaged in various political and activist work on socio-ecological justice and the commons. At the Commons Network, they work on the role of post-growth strategies in transitioning to more sustainable societies, with a focus on community economies in urban environments. They are interested in the intersection between environmental and feminist issues, foregrounding the voices of both marginalised humans and non-humans and seeking to foster more caring relationships. Jo is passionate about building multispecies communities based on care, reciprocity and responsibility to actualise post-capitalist and just futures in the now.
